Erdogan: There is no
such thing as the "Kurdish minority"
Erdogan, in a meeting with Turkish citizens in
Norway, stressed that, according to him, there is no
such concept of the "Kurdish minority."
After the meeting at the Oslo Military Museum,
during a question and answer session with Turkish
citizens there, Erdogan interrupted the question of
one of the citizens who began his question with the
phrase "Kurdish minority." Said Erdogran, "There is
no such thing as the 'Kurdish minority.' Kurds are
one of the many faces which make up Turkey. We are
all well-meaning citizens of this country. When you
start to say 'I'm this,' or 'he's that,' that's when
the viruses enter. We must not allow these viruses
to start up..."
Erdogan also that he would look into the situation
involving the sale of atlases in Norway which show a
separate region labelled as "Kurdistan" within the
borders of the Turkish Republic.
