Sulaimaniyah, On Wednesday Mr. Omer Fattah, the
prime minister of Kurdistan Regional Government (Suleimanyia)
with his minister of transportation and
communication summoned the director of both mobile
companies ( SanaTel and AsiaCell) to his office and
they held a meeting to reach an agreement about
unifying the communication nets of the two companies
who work in Suleimanyia and its neighbouring
districts.
The prime minister told both sides that their
agreement should be according to the KRG rules and
that they should reach an agreement within 10 days
in order to ensure the rights of the users.
In this respect, Mr. Aso Abdul-Latif, the director
of the media in SanaTel said: "We are grateful to
the prime minister and the minister of
transportation and communication who did their best
to help us in this issue.
It is illogical to have two mobile companies in one
country and the users of one could not contact with
the users of the other one.
We have recurrently informed the prime minister of
the users' complaints and this is a right which
should be preserved all over the world and nobody
should neglect this right for whatever reasons."
He further added: "It was decided in the meeting
that the process of connecting the two nets should
be achieved in 10 days time and that the two
companies should establish a special committee for
this purpose."
