The
attorneys of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan
have not been allowed to pass Imrali Island, where
Abdullah Ocalan is kept prisoner in the Imrali
Special Type Closed Jail, to interview with their
client due to alleged 'bad weather conditions'.
Early in the morning to cross, the Attorneys of
Ocalan, Bekir Kaya, Asya Ulker and Zeynel Degirmenci
went to the Gemlik Gendarmerie Headquarters to cross
Imrali, but were not given the allowance to pass
across. Bekir Kaya emphasizes that the newspapers
and books they brought for Ocalan have not been
received to be given to their client and delivered
back to them.
"We have not been able to talk to our client, since
Dec.19. After were prevented from going to Imrali,
we drove to Bursa and interview with the deputy
chief public prosecutor and uttered our demands and
complaints. He stated would not be able to do
anything for crossing to the since the weather was
bad, but would talk to the officials in order the
books and papers to be given their client" said
Solicitor Kaya.
