Erdogan's Diyarbakır visit cancelled
The Diyarbakır call of Turkish Prime Minister Recep
Tayyip Erdogan has reported cancelled due to his
dense program.
Sah Ismail Bedirhanoglu, president of Southeastern
Businessmen and Industrialists' Association (GUNSIAD)
and Kutbettin Arzu, Chairman of the Commerce and
Industry Chamber of Diyarbakir announced the
visitation thought to be held with 150 businessmen
on Feb. 13 cancelled to Turkish chancellor Erdogan's
intensive schedule and said the visit will be held
at a forward date. The governorship of Diyarbakir
also made a declaration that "The call of Premier
Recep Tayyip Erdogan was put off to a forward."
Non-governmental organizations are preparing to
present a declaration on the government's policies
related with Kurd question to the prime minister.
KHRP's director, Kerim Yildiz detains
Kerim Yildiz, director of Kurdish Human Rights
Project the center of which is in London, has been
taken into custody in Azerbaijan.
According to information obtained, Kerim Yildiz, who
was going to hold a training seminar for lawyers in
Azerbaijan along with his counterparts working under
the roof of KHRP, was detained at the time of
passport controls at Baku Airport at 22:00 p.m. and
sent back to London his question at police station.
It has been reported that English Foreign Ministry
and governmental institutions were instructed of
Yildiz's detention and provided to take action after
he was taken into custody
