Sanandaj, Kurdistan-Iran - A 22-year-old Kurd
named Puya Ibrahim Abadi under detention in the city
of Sine in eastern Kurdistan was tortured to death
on Dec. 5 by Iranian security forces, the Kurdish
news agency ANF reports.
Iranian security forces claimed that Abadi had
committed suicide. Abadi's death brings the number
of Kurdish civilians killed by Iranian security
forces in eastern Kurdistan to 30 in the last six
months.
It was also reported that four Kurds detained by
Iranian forces in the Bayengan district of
Kermanshah are once again subjected to severe
torture. The Kurd were named as Wezir Qadiri, Ferhad
Fathi, Wahid Eshref Pur and Mihemed Rezayi.
