Signature campaign started for Ocalan in Izmir

(Turkey), Nov 2 (DozaMe) - The Kurdish political
activist group 'Free Citizen's Initiative' (FCI)
continues its signature campaign called 'I accept
the Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan as my
political volition'.
160 volunteers attended on October 30 the
preparation meeting for the campaign at the 'Ada
Culture and Arts Center' in the city of Izmir in
Turkey. A total of 500 have signed up as volunteers
for the signature campaign and the goal is to
collect 200,000 signatures in the city of Izmir and
vicinity.
TUAD-DER manager arrested for saying 'Dear Öcalan'
MERSİN Nov 1 (DIHA)
- Mersin Society of help for the Families of
Arrested People (TUAD-DER) president Lamih Ağırman,
was arrested because he said 'Dear Öcalan' in a
statement to media.
He has said it in Akdeniz Municipality in Mersin on
26th October.
In the process of interrogation, he was called to
Mersin Police Department and was taken under
custody. He was let go from Mersin High Criminal
Court in the mornig. He was sent to 4th Magistrate
Court with demand of arrest. He is accused of
'membership to an illegal organisation' and was sent
to Mersin E Type Closed Prison.
Turkish soldiers burned down civilian tents in
Kurdistan
Kurdistan
(Turkey) Nov 1 (DozaMe) - Turkish soldiers have
reportedly burned down 30 tents in the Beson Plain
used by villagers from the Kiliçkaya village in the
Eruh District of Siirt in Kurdistan.
The incident happened two weeks ago. Turkish
soldiers accused the villagers of helping Kurdish
HPG guerrillas from the Kurdish resistance movement
PKK. Soldiers also burned down silk, wheat and other
property.
The Beson Plain was evacuated in 1993 during the
first war between Turkey and the PKK. Tens of
Kurdish villagers were killed during the evacuation
in 1993.
