Istanbul: Torches were lighted in Taksim
for the people of Semdinli

ISTANBUL Nov.27
(DIHA) - The people's brotherhood initiative made
them lit the torches at the tram station in Taksim
requesting that the facts about the Semdinli
incidents be laid off.
A crowded group protested the incidents that
occurred in Samdinli, at the tram station in Taksim
where they gathered to protest. The protesters were
holding banners saying: ''Let JİTEM
(Counter-Guerrilla) be dissolved. The people of
Semdinli are not alone'', and were frequently
shouting: ''The people of Samdinli are not alone'',
'' the gangs will pay the price to the people''. ''
Viva the brotherhood of nations''.
Ceren Uysal who said the opening word, emphasized
that fifteen days has passed since the incidents but
it seems that they are trying to close down the
issue without letting the people responsible be
known.
The suspect caught red-handed in Semdinli was not a
member of JİTEM, it is directly the become-gang
government itself. We won't let the
Counter-guerrilla that strike against the people of
Semdinli get away with their deeds, and for this
reason we announce again that we are enlarging the
scale of our activities.'' Said Uysal. |

'The Turkish people should show the same
determination'
The next speaker Mr.Hacı Orman , the president of
the administrative board of BEKSAV, and The people
Democratic Platform (DHP), The Oppressed Platform
(ESP) and the rest of the committee that was made of
7 people announced that they will go to Semdinli for
the examine the situation. Mr. Orman, who made it
clear that the people of Semdinli who expect their
concerns to be heard, need the help of everybody.
''These torches are important for the people of
Semninli, the people of Semdinli are determined to
move from the darkness to the light, and the Turkish
people, by giving help to each other, should show
the same determination. This is the message that the
people of Semdnli gave us,'' said Mr. Orman.
The group that made the statement under heavy police
security, dispersed while shouting slogans similar
to '' Viva the brotherhood of nations ''
