The film about Suzana is about struggle. Struggle on
different levels: for a dream to come true, for a
future as an artist, for a free Kurdistan where the
Kurdish language may be spoken freely without
oppression and repression from the Turkish state.
And finally, and most important: Suzana lifelong
struggle to extend the boundaries of women. To
become an example for other women to free them
selves. For Suzana this is a rebellion against a
very conservative traditional culture where the
individual is submitted to the group and where
female obedience is a matter of honor for the whole
family. Was broadcasted on SVT in the spring of
2005.
