Haidari, head of the legal committee in Iraqi
Kurdistan Parliament said that the committee for
following up the regional constitution would hold a
meeting today for making last amendments in the
final version of the constitution project of the
region.
In a statement published by Aswat Al Iraq on the
internet, Haidari said that after making the final
amendments "only the official procedures for
approving the project would remain. The committee
would then submit the project to the Kurdistani
parliament for approval." He added, "There would be
a constitution for Kurdistan region in a very short
time."
He clarified that many amendments have been made "in
the project, which has been ready for three years.
We have considered the demands of Kurdistani people,
the current and future conditions and the changes
that have taken place." He confirmed, "In this
constitution, the Kurdistani people would find what
they wished for."
