The
Iraqi Students and the Iraqi Doctors associations in
the Federal Republic of Germany have called Iraqi
girls and boys to protest and execute a sit-in for
rejecting the decision of the education minister in
Al Ja'fari's government of separating the two sexes
in the teaching and service cadres in Iraqi schools
and institutions.
This decision is considered as violation of human
rights as it discriminates between male and female
citizens on basis of sex, calls for separating the
two sexes in Iraqi institutions, prepares for
persistence in imposing extreme religious domination
on Iraqi facilities, stays remote from the
experiments of developed communities, reduces the
benefit of communication between the two sexes for
exchanging expertise and reduces the familiarity
between the two sexes on bases of knowing each
other, interrelation and accepting each others'
created nature.
Such decisions create social complexes that result
from preventing male and female citizens from
getting to know each other, delimits educating the
Iraqi community in accepting each other on basis of
diversity in sex, ideas, belief and religion, and
creates a retarded community, with regard to social
relations.
The content of this decision is not remote from the
governing council's decision no. 137, which aims at
dividing the Iraqi community on sectarian basis.
Today, this has developed into dividing the Iraqi
community on basis of sexes. In the future, we shall
witness division on other more serious bases. In
case we just do nothing today, we shall lose the
Iraqi future.
