Erbil -
Knowledgeable sources in Akre city, which is
administratively affiliated to Duhok province,
confirmed that about one thousand persons have
demonstrated due to the fuel shortage, which the
region is suffering from.
Sources told "Al Sharq Al Awsat" that Kurdish
citizens have demonstrated condemning the bad
services, offered by the administration and the lack
of fuel, especially gasoline. Demonstrators have
burnt two gas stations in the city and walked to the
administrative district building, where they were
intercepted by a military force coming from Erbil,
which is nearest to Aqra from Dahuk and scattered
them.
