The youth national team
has entered its local training camp in
Kurdistan-Iraq (in Sulaimaniyah Province), in
preparation for entering the competitions of the
Asian eliminations, which would be held in Kuwait by
the end of next November.
The toss has placed our youth national team in the
first group of the Asian eliminations, with the
Kuwaiti and Lebanese teams.
Mr. Abdullah Abdel Hameed, coach of the youth
national team, has stated that the camp would be
very useful for the players and the training cadres,
as several friendly matches with the Kurdistani
teams would be played for identifying the actual
standards of the youth team players, in addition to
selecting the final formation for entering the
eliminations' competitions with a team, which is
strongly capable of competing for leading the group.
Abdel Hameed confirmed that his team is capable of
beating Kuwait and Lebanon, and qualifying for the
Asian youth football finals.
