Barzani: It is impossible to obtain a
better constitution

Erbil - Immediately after voting in the
referendum on the constitution draft in Salah Eddin
resort (north of Baghdad), Massoud Barzani,
president of Iraqi Kurdistan region, said, "It is
impossible to obtain a better constitution."
After leaving the electoral center, Barzani
announced, "I respect the opinion of everyone,
whether they voted with 'Yes' or 'No'. The
brothers and sisters in Kurdistan should know that
it is impossible to obtain a better constitution."
He said, "It is a historical day, which is the
result of the blood of martyrs and sacrifices of
this nation. The sound basis for establishing the
democratic federal Iraq has been set and signals the
approach of a prosperous future." |

He expressed his happiness "after viewing reports,
which I received on the voting process, and TV
channels that indicate that the majority of people
have headed to ballot boxes, especially in Kurdistan
(…). It is a rough response to all terrorists, who
are standing against democracy and the federation."
