SANANDAJ, Kurdistan Prov. (IRNA) -- Some 138.81
million dollars worth of non-oil commodities were
exported via this western province during the first
nine months of the current Iranian year (Mar. 20 to
Dec. 20).
Director General of Kurdistan Customs Administration
Hossein Kheirollah Nia told IRNA here Saturday that
the province exported a total of 381,704 tons of
non-oil commodities during the stated period.
He said the figures show 149 and four percent
increases in terms of weight and value,
respectively, compared to the corresponding figures
for the previous year.
He said Kurdistan Customs Administration, with 72.4
million dollars worth of goods exported, accounts
for 52 percent of the country's total exports.
Plastic and metal products, electronic appliances,
cement, industrial goods, foodstuff, fruits, tile
and ceramics and carpets were among the leading
commodities exported.
Meanwhile, some 121,236 tons of goods, valued at
27.127 million dollars, were transited via the
Bashmaq market in the province over the same period.
The official said that the goods transited showed a
125 percent spike in terms of weight and a 61
percent dip in terms of value compared to the
corresponding figures in the previous year.
