Bulgarian police have detained a car, carrying 2.5
kg T.N.T., in the Sofia's district of "Gotse Delchev"
late Sunday.
The car was spotted after an anonymous phone call
informed the police on the exact location and the
contents of the vehicle, "24 Hours" daily reported.
After a check the police officers found the
explosive, as well as a Makarov pistol and drugs in
the car.
The owner of the vehicle is a 43-year-old Kurd with
a Turkish passport, who has been living in Bulgaria
for 15 years. He was immediately arrested.
The man had entered in the country from Macedonia
three days ago, police have said.
The Kurd has been changing his addresses in Sofia
and has been traveling abroad very often.
The incident has happened a day before the opening
of the annual summit of the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Sofia
with some 1,500 high-standing guests.
